The Impact Investing Institute and the African Venture Philanthropy Alliance invite you to join our global virtual event “Bridging divides: Catalytic capital for a global just transition” on 8 November, 13:00-14:00 GMT.
Join us as we discuss the necessity of a global just transition to net zero that respects local contexts, and the potential of catalytic capital in supporting a fair and inclusive transition in emerging and frontier markets. We will share key insights from our soon to be released publication “Bridging divides: A guide on using catalytic capital for a global just transition” and provide practical examples highlighting different methods of deploying catalytic capital for a just transition globally, as well as models of effective partnerships between catalytic capital providers and local investors.
The session will be moderated by Baafour Otu-Boateng, Lead Expert at the Impact Investing Institute, and speakers include:
- Jana van Deventer – Research Manager: Impact Investing, Krutham (formerly Intellidex)
- Hamdiya Ismaila – Founder and CEO, Savannah Impact Advisory
- Urmi Sengupta – Senior Programme Officer, Impact Investments, MacArthur Foundation
- Andrew Ahiaku – Head of the Financial Sector at Aceli Africa
We would love for you to join the conversation and help deliver a transition to net zero that is inclusive of all.
