Hughie joined the Impact Investing Institute in July 2022 as Relationships Coordinator, working to deliver the Institute’s fundraising and development strategy. In October 2024, he took up the role of Programme Coordinator, working across the Institute’s Challenge Lab and focussing on the Institute’s just transition finance programming.
Hughie graduated from the University of Bristol with First Class Hons in Modern Languages before returning to London to train and work as an actor, theatre-maker and teacher. In recent years, he turned his attention from the performing arts to the political economy of our climate transition; involved since 2020 with an arts campaign group, an NGO reporting on socio-environmental issues in Latin America and a national climate movement. He his motivated to bring his varied experiences together within a single focus: to lead communities and people together with the biggest levers for change towards an equitable and sustainable future.
A keen cyclist and music lover, he likes to spend his spare time either taking off into Epping Forest or taking in London’s live music & art scene.
